Verellen Elementary

Verellen Elementary is a building made up of approximately 260 second and third grade students. Verellen was built in 1960 and previously held Kindergarten through fifth grade until the Essexville-Hampton Public Schools moved to a tiered elementary system before the 2006-07 school year.

The average class size for the 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms is 25 students. Verellen is also the home of one of the Autistic Impaired classrooms that is directed by Bay Arenac Intermediate School District.

We are NCA Accredited. In receiving accreditation it means that our school exceeds the educational standards set by the Michigan Department of Education.

Our school mission statement is as follows: The Verellen staff and parents will ensure that all students become lifelong learners, problem solvers, and self- confident, productive members of society.

Welcome to the Essexville-Hampton Public Schools!
