The Young MFG Mentors is a program of the Great Lakes Bay Manufacturers Association and is designated to engage members with the local talent and next generations of manufacturing through various means. They are looking for mentees as young as age 16. Please scan the code below to learn more and sign up!
STEM@SVSU is pleased to invite current high school students to apply for the AT&T Great Lakes Bay Region STEM Innovation and Entrepreneurship High School Camp. The camp dates are Tuesday June 14th through Thursday, June 16th. This program will provide additional STEM education information, career awareness, exposure to engineering activities (robotics, 3D printing), and an introduction to entrepreneurship, STEM technology innovations, design innovations, prototype development, and product testing. There is NO COST to attend this camp; however full attendance is required. Application deadline is May 24th. To apply, please use the link below-

With the last days of school for seniors upon us and graduation just over 2 weeks away, these exciting times call for celebration! Many will celebrate this great life event through graduation parties with their friends and families.
Over the course of the last 20 years, the Bay County Prevention Network has partnered with parents of graduating seniors from GHS to provide tips for safe parties in hopes of increasing the chances of youth not having access to alcohol, thus being safer at these celebrations.
We ask you to take a quick moment to review the tips below, and take some time to discuss with your young adult the importance of being safe and responsible when they celebrate. Congratulations to all of our graduates! We know that supportive families are a huge part in making that happen.

Over the weekend 30+ GHS students spent nearly 70 combined hours walking dogs at Bay County Animal Services and Adoption Center. Thanks to their efforts, they will receive a $1,000 grant from the Bay Area Community Foundation which will be used to purchase supplies for BCAS. Thank you to everyone who made this great opportunity happen!

A big congratulations to the Garber Forensics Team on a super successful state tournament! Garber won GOLD in the multiple category this year. Performers Elizabeth Bergevin, Kye Friday, Landon Hennig, Sage Schuler, Snow Sexton, Cricket Travis, & Hannah Valley took home first place won the BCD state title with their piece, “Drop Dead Gorgeous!”
